We’ve been listening to the same hymn now for 8 weeks.  Every time I play it I think, “Oh, next time we’ll move on.”  But the next time it comes up on our schedule I listen to it again.

I’m hooked.  It speaks to me.  It reminds me.  It comforts me.  The words are so true and I find myself singing them in my sleep, when I wake in the morning and often when things are not going according to my neat little plan.

And then I’m reminded “what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.”  We have a God who wants to hear from us.  He promises to listen!

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So I encourage you today…..Before you waste a whole day stressing about your most pressing homeschooling problem, before you google it, before you post about it in a Facebook group……Take it to the Lord in prayer.  Don’t forfeit the peace He very much wants to give you.  ❤️❤️
